Murray Desrosiers serves as Senior Vice President, Legal and Corporate Development of FLINT Corp. He joined the team in September 2019 as Senior Vice President and General Counsel and was promoted to Senior Vice President, Legal and Corporate Development in September 2022. From March to July 2023, he also served as Interim Chief Financial Officer.
Mr. Desrosiers is responsible for the coordination and delivery of legal services (including commercial, securities, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and dispute resolution/litigation), enterprise risk management, corporate development and strategic planning. He also serves as corporate secretary for FLINT’s board of directors and works closely with them on matters of corporate governance.
Mr. Desrosiers is a corporate lawyer with over 25 years of experience advising energy companies in the areas of corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and securities compliance matters. Prior to joining FLINT, he was Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Baytex Energy Corp. from 2008 to 2018. Prior thereto, he held senior legal positions with PrimeWest Energy Trust, Shiningbank Energy Income Fund, Enbridge Inc. and Enbridge Income Fund.
Mr. Desrosiers holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of Calgary and is a member of the Law Society of Alberta.
